Day 2

Found these old saw horses and they were smiling at me. Still trying to keep it simple with the Golden Mean in mind.

  1. Great composition, my eyes are lead down to the saw horse face with the yellow mouth. Very effective use of the golden mean :)

  2. They really look as if they were smiling. :D

Do you plan to measure those before you crop them, or do you just roughly estimate the golden mean? Just out of curiosity...

  3. Nice find for today's picture. And thankjs for the golden mean link. I like how you can see the detail on the wood.

  4. Cute! They do look like they're smiling.

Made me think of the Chick-fil-A near my house - they have "sawcows" standing in their lawn (sawhorses painted with cow patterns). :D

  6. Great find and leaving the colour in the one little mouth is inspirational. I see the way the edges of the saw horses lead the eye to the smiling mouth. Great find.

  7. Thanks everyone for all the great comments!
I am trying to visualize through the viewfinder and not crop if possible. I have a print out of the Golden Mean and it is really making me think! I have been looking at everyone's images but have not commented since I am not a very fast typist. I will try to do so after everyone here is in bed and I have some time.

  8. I like how you leave some colour to guide us to the golden mean.

  12. Again, your depth is heightened with this focus on the GM, very nice. I have been the Merlin of your followers, looking at the last one first. Actually I've viewed them in Golden Mean order. Looking at #1-5 then waiting till #27 and working backwards again. Still, 3 more to go, so it really continues that I view your work in a spiral.... :D
