Day 21

  1. A nice change in subjects… However, I think skin is always a very difficult issue as people are quite aware what skin looks like. Here I think there's too much light on the hip, a small outline of the belly would look a lot better than that relatively huge bright area on comparison to the much more structured arms/chest section. Personally, I'd prefer a "cleaner" framing around the shoulder. Now it feels vague. Can't tell how you can improve that but maybe you'll try another shot tomorrow?

  2. I'm sorry! I'm confused. I really can't work out exactly what I'm looking at. I see the hand, elbow and shoulder but then I get confused because my brain is telling me I should be able to see a head. LOL! This is making my brain hurt (and my head because I keep tilting it upside down). Great puzzle.

  3. This is a very bold picture! I cant figure out if its a self portrait? or someone else.
I cant wait to hear the answer!!!

  4. This one is somewhat harder to see that magic GM, due to the smooth curves.
I've no idea how you could improve it, though a good try!
I just figured it out!!! Woot!!! You start at the thumb and around it goes. Amazing idea - now I see it.

  5. I think it's a very brave choice of subject. I think the lighting is nice and soft in most places, but the large triangular shadow on the left hand side isn;t as pleasing to the eye.

I have to say though that I am more pleased and surprised to see this shot in the challenge than any other, taken by anyone.

  6. Bold shot! Self portrait or model? A bit more light in the crook of the elbow would add to it for me but I am in awe!

  7. Very interesting - I had to study it for a while before I figured out how the model was laying. I like the lighting, but agree a little more light in the crook of the elbow would improve it. I give you kudos for trying this!

  8. WoW looks like it would be a very dificult shot to pull off but you have done a great job.

  9. Wow, very brave and very tricky to pull off. I do think this would do well with a head, or at least the chin or the back of the hair. I like the tones and textures and shapes in the rest, but I feel I have just missed a beheading arriving here now once the head has gone! ;-) Very nicely done for the bits we do see though.
