Day 25

Sally the salamander. My daughter found her under a rock outside. She was most likely hibernating.

  1. so you just asked her to pose in a perfect golden mean position and she complied? How wonderful!

  2. Oh! She's real! She looks like a plastic toy! I've never heard (let alone seen) of a salamander before. Looks like she comes from the worm family.

  3. Oh, shame, I hope you put her back there to hibernate! She is probably shocked out of her skin to be out and about if she would prefer to be sleeping. I have never seen one of these in real life, but she looks very cute. Love the flashes of yellow! Nice one.

  4. We only had her inside for a couple of minutes, I think my daughter's middle name is Mother Nature. She put the salamander back right away. This one was about 4 inches long.

  5. What a sweetie pie, I just adore those tiny rounded toes, and the yellow dots are striking.
