Even at the market I am starting to "see" the GM. :)

This will be a real challenge for me. As my 30 day photography challenge I have chosen to shoot with "The Golden Mean" or "Golden Rectangle" (closely related to the rule of thirds) as my theme. It is composition I will be focusing on rather than a specific subject. Knowing this is my weakest area of my photography should really force me to learn. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1013&message=29939768
Nice one. The white balance looks like it's a bit yellow (overhead lights or shadecloth?) but I love the composition and the inclusion of the ice for context and storytelling. Very nice work!
ReplyDeleteI was at the mercy of the store lighting and I believe it was a dim fluorescent. I guess I could have messed more in adjustment layers.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if that was water, or ice - but I like that you included it.
ReplyDeleteWe all need to eat our vegetables! Thanks for the reminder!!
Ice and brussel sprouts! What a unique combination.
ReplyDeleteI like that you included the ice and the details on the sprounts are fabulours. Now let me think...S in for Sprouts. After seeing this shot - I'm tempted! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow to think you see the GM in Veggies now too, unbelievable find here - I am enjoying your photographs of the GM immensely.
ReplyDeleteWhen you wrote GM, I thought you meant Genetically Modified! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Nice highlights on the sprouts to show that they are wet, and the ice in the corner really works well.
Hmmm...I think you might have two different color temperatures going on...the ice looks nice and white, but then the sprouts look like they are lit with a different source...like a tungsten bulb?. Really, if you tried to get it right on the sprouts it would look funny on the ice. I think you could possibly fix it with a selective color adjustment to the green and/or yellow...
