Got my new 50mm lens so I am experimenting with it. This is a shot of a Chinese hat (rice picking? not sure of the correct name of it). I held it up to the sun and liked the woven structure I saw through it.

Oooo, I love the lights and mysterious shadows here. This is especially demonstrative of your golden mean - I can actually feel my eyes moving in that sweep around the picture.
ReplyDeleteOhh this is gorgeous...love the lines, light and colours. That sparkle finishes it off brilliantly.
ReplyDeletePerfectly composed golden mean and that leaf peaking in from the left makes it all the more interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this shot! :) Very cool!
ReplyDeleteGreat warm colour and texture, and I love that little sparkle right at the apex of the golden mean curve/spiral. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is so perfect for your theme, the warm colours and the woven lines are marvelous together.
ReplyDeleteI love it a lot!
Wow! I love how interesting a camera can make something as the inside of a hat when it's wielded with this level of skill! I'm pretty much mesmerised by this photo, I feel like my eyes could explore the lines and patterns for hours and still be as intrerested as the moment I saw it!
ReplyDelete....its ok.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! JUST KIDDING! Its stupendous! My fav of yours so far, I think! The first thing I really noticed was that sparkle Kimbomac spoke of...(or a tiny little starburst.)
Really fantastic capture of the patterns overlapping each other. The shadows, the weave, the x of the hat's top... well done! Love those tiny starbursts, too :)
ReplyDeleteI like all the different patterns. Great representation of the GM!
ReplyDeleteGreat abstract! Really great colour as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Looks like a roof of some sort. Nice golden color.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Depth in a graphic 2-d way.
