I found this miniature container at my favorite thrift store. It says made in England. For some reason it looks so familiar to me but I am not sure why... It also says Baret Ware on the bottom. Anyway I love the pattern and colors.
This will be a real challenge for me. As my 30 day photography challenge I have chosen to shoot with "The Golden Mean" or "Golden Rectangle" (closely related to the rule of thirds) as my theme. It is composition I will be focusing on rather than a specific subject. Knowing this is my weakest area of my photography should really force me to learn. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1013&message=29939768
A lucky find for your theme too, it's an interesting shape and I like the pattern too.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Very nice composition on this one. What a lovely item to photograph!
ReplyDeleteI like the colors and pattern also. Isn't it wonderful the things we find at thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous lighting, colours and patterns. Love the way the light picks up the relief of the patterns on the lid. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe open white space makes this look almost like a plate or gameboard of some type. I would love to find something like this in a thrift store. It's colors and patterns are right up my alley. It's quite exotic.
ReplyDeleteI like it too - and you could draw the golden mean right on there it is so obvious! Nice colors and very pleasing to the eye (there goes that golden mean thing again!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours and a well taken shot overall.
