Ever since I was a kid I have always loved Flamingos. (I couldn't say the word flamingo so, I called them "Fingos") Now I know why I liked them so much... Their body, necks and heads follow the Golden Mean and are naturally appealing to our eye.
This will be a real challenge for me. As my 30 day photography challenge I have chosen to shoot with "The Golden Mean" or "Golden Rectangle" (closely related to the rule of thirds) as my theme. It is composition I will be focusing on rather than a specific subject. Knowing this is my weakest area of my photography should really force me to learn. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1013&message=29939768
Really nice shot. Love that pink!
ReplyDeleteAha!!! Now you know what makes you tick!! Being Rose Queen follows the Golden Mean...? Doesn't it? Speaking of that - they announced the new one for next year!..It wasn't you! :(
ReplyDeleteGood job on this!!
Flamingos are such bizarre creatures but they do make an awesome golden mean
ReplyDeleteLovely photo. The pink and green go really nicely together.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very colourful and appealing shot, the bird looks very comfy in it's surroundings.
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Such a wonderful shot I could look at this one all day so colourful and vibrant
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. The vibrant wonderful colours put me in the mind to thinking about Alice in Wonderland. Very surreal and dreamlike. Like a wild, party dream. Fantastic lighting too. Well done.
